After
PM’s demonetization drive, black money has become a buzz word. As we all are aware, Government is doing a lot in this direction beginning with banning of Rs
500/1000 notes and then subsequent efforts at digitalization of economy.
My
question is what we as common citizens are doing?
Yes,
we salaried people pay the maximum taxes and use digital options wherever
convenient. Is that enough?
No!
Why
is it then while we pay the taxes, we see so many around with loads of black
money? Own atleast 3-4 houses?
Do
we ask for receipts when we buy bread, eggs or even chocolates from our local
grocery shops? No we don’t…
Why
so?
We
are entitled to get a receipt for any product, service we receive be it grocery
shops, vegetable shops, medicine shops or even doctors.
These
shops cant charge us more if we ask for receipts as we already buy at MRP, then
why should we let them evade the taxes? We pay tax at the item bought, why
shouldn’t they?
Don’t
we get receipt at Big Bazaar, Hypercity etc for even an item worth Re1?
Why
not at these local shops? Are we aware that these so called small shopkeepers
are biggest hoarders of blackmoney and unaccounted income all thanks to our
indifference.
Just a small of
step of asking for bill the next time you shop will go a long way in
eradicating black money!
And if possible
not buy from the shop not giving bill
And
of course using the digital options will add to it…
Do
it yourself & also persuade atleast 5 more people around you to do it.
Government as introduced app called Bhim App where money gets transferred
immediately from one bank account to another. We can use that also.
Hopefully
we educated taxpayers can help the country & our PM fight this menace of
black money.
